We are pursuing Consumer Products and Live Experiences because we believe it will drive meaningful show awareness and conversation with more tangible, curated ways to interact with our most popular content IRL and drive long term value. We want merchandise and live experiences to help promote our titles and build them into title brands, or franchises, so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.
As the Director of Operations, you will lead the development of our overall operations strategy, build and lead our in-house operations team and manage x-functional efforts with internal partners to create best-in-class operations of our experiences as we scale them globally.
What you will do:
• Develop and lead the overall operations strategy for live experiences.
• Partner with creative production and finance partners to align project goals at pre-development phase, relentlessly looking out for the guest experience in tandem with investment parameters and long term ROI.
• Ensure creative and operational excellence by leading the in-house operations team.
• Optimize operations ongoing to achieve maximum efficiency both creatively and financially.
• Model theoretical hourly capacity vs. operational hourly capacity, identify pinch points, set design goals for guest accessibility & safety, provide expert knowledge of efficient BOH, F&B and merchandise layouts.
• Travel globally to ensure operational consistency across markets.
• Build a global operations team to ensure consumer satisfaction in Netflix live experiences at scale.
• Align with key stakeholders across consumer products, brand partnerships, content, and marketing.
• Integrate our overall operations strategy into production ''ways of working'' with all partners.
• Establish regular meetings with key stakeholders to update on progress and solicit feedback.
• Promote and foster a mindset of continuous innovation for internal teams and external partners.
What we need from you:
• Demonstrated 15 years of operations leadership and development experience in the location based entertainment industry.
• Strong knowledge of both permanent and touring experiences as well as food and beverage and retail operations.
• Ability to work with creative teams to operationalize concepts.
• Experience managing direct reports in an environment that embraces individual momentum.
• Demonstrate legal knowledge for operating experiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and digital.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong desire to think outside the box and innovate.
• Excellent organizing skills using digital tools and Google Suite.
• Global experience.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $380,000 - $1,300,000.
