The mission of the Production Strategy and Operations (PS&O) team is to empower Netflix to achieve its operational goals and creative pursuits through production solutions, technology, resource assurance, and workflow optimization.
The PS&O team is looking for an execution-oriented, highly effective senior leader with extensive knowledge of live-action production workflows, tools, and platforms, including the awareness of trends driving the media industry transformation. This unique and exciting opportunity will directly impact the future of production and operationalizing bleeding edge technology, such as next-generation workflows to our post facilities and content creators around the world.
As a proven leader, you have solid business sense and sound judgment, with first-hand experience rolling out new technologies and workflows in collaboration with operational and technical teams across different domains and time zones. You will be responsible for building strong connections with title-facing teams, ensuring a tight product feedback loop, and coordinating smooth, high-quality feature launches.
Your role includes components of strategy, operations, and communications. Although you're a big picture thinker with a strategic purview, you're not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and operating at a tactical level to get the job done. As such, you understand the urgent needs of production today as you oversee the operationalization of innovative long-term solutions of tomorrow.
Your primary job functions are:
• To create a framework and execution plan for how to support Netflix's cloud-native collaboration ecosystem operationally. Your goal is to ensure operational processes for product roll-out, adoption, and support are clearly defined, scoped, and ultimately meet Netflix's expectations around efficiency, consistency, and quality at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement processes for all Netflix post facilities. Your goal is to create a consistent model across the different service areas at our facilities around the world, promoting a coherent and best-in-class experience for our content creators. You are aware of cultural nuances and can adapt to specific regional requirements as needed.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Partner closely with the Manager, Production Technology Solutions, to stay current on product developments, providing input on scalability and operationalization. This includes tracking key milestones and timelines to ensure that we achieve the desired outcome.
• Work with regional physical production management and the Netflix Production Technology and Operations (PT&O) teams on expectation management, testing strategies, and product rollout/operationalization. The goal is to establish workflow uniformity across our regional sites.
• Partner closely with Netflix Post Services (PS) and PT&O to develop a runbook to manage, operate, and support new product roll-outs, including handling exceptions and establishing recovery pathways.
• Create a communication framework to solicit real-time feedback from ''front line'' users, operators, and 3rd party collaborators to inform future operations and provide valuable insights that will help us iterate on and ultimately improve/harden the processes built around the tools we provide.
• Define and understand the performance metrics we track internally with our Studio Insights and Data Science teams. This includes executing quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that deliver operational intelligence and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a training and support program for managers at post facilities. The goal is to ensure technical expertise is consistent across regions. The program will also empower all workflow managers to provide technical support for dailies, off-line, on-line, and color, as per our defined best practices.
• Provide regular executive-level reporting
Additional criteria to be considered:
• A post-production professional with a multi-faceted background in operations and technology is ideal
• Must be comfortable operating within a matrixed organization but possess the strategic and tactical acumen to navigate ambiguity and partner with the right stakeholders to execute projects successfully.
• Adaptable management / leadership philosophy
• Ability to understand changing global production landscape, and competitive markets
• Willingness to embrace and drive innovation and disruption in the production space
Qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in Post-production, with roles in the facility and process management, at a post-production vendor, studio, or network.

• Experience with and ability to respectfully but authoritatively engage with creative executives and content creators
• Ability to manage and operate in ambiguous situations and think on your feet to solve challenges and problems
