Recruiting Researcher (Marketing, Comms, Legal)
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with over 260 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time. It's an exciting time as we continue to expand our business globally. We are revolutionizing the way people watch their favorite shows and movies, and building our own library of original Netflix content for all to enjoy.
Netflix is seeking a Recruiting Researcher to join our dynamic in-house talent acquisition team that works across our Marketing, PR/Communications, and Legal divisions. This person will be partnering with various partners in the organization and will be working to fulfill the critical function of identifying and recruiting exceptional talent. Talent Acquisition is a priority at Netflix, so we need someone who understands the importance of finding the best of the best and desires to make an impact as we achieve our growth goals. At Netflix, Talent Acquisition is a uniquely creative, yet deeply strategic business function with a seat at the table. Thus, we need someone who is a stellar recruitment practitioner to join our team. The right researcher is operationally minded, highly strategic in their approach, and uses innovative research methods and market acumen, to influence decision-making and hiring practices. The right person can easily oscillate between creative and business recruitment hiring with ease, to build future-forward teams.
In this Role You Will:
• Partner directly with in-house recruiters and business partners to understand specific needs to source, attract, and engage with top talent. To that end, someone who is voraciously curious and asks great questions to build their business acumen will be especially successful in this role.
• Own and drive the sourcing strategy for a variety of roles inclusive across the Marketing and PR ecosystem, including but not limited to business, creative, and design recruiting. Strategically utilize online research, events, social media, and other sources to discover and engage highly passive, sought-after candidates. Be proactive about exploring alternative sourcing channels.
• Build strong relationships with candidates, provide an impeccable candidate experience, and make judicious decisions on fit for a particular role or team, in addition to thinking through fit for our unique company culture.
• Use critical thinking, data, and business acumen to educate and influence hiring managers to make smart judgment calls that will directly impact who we hire for Netflix.
• Champion inclusion, by generating diverse candidate pipelines that boost representation at the team level, in turn enhancing Netflix's ability to entertain the world. Advocate for continually raising the bar and ensuring that candidates understand and embrace our culture of Freedom & Responsibility.
• Network and maintain relationships with key talent communities for short and/or long-term opportunities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the top Netflix competitors and the entertainment, marketing, and communication industries.
• Understand our broader business goals, leveraging these to answer questions about Netflix strategy, goals, and culture
You are:
• You have at least 6 years of recruiting experience including building teams in one or more of the following domains: Marketing, Media, Entertainment, Consumer Products, Design and Creative, Editorial, or Public Relations. Some full life cycle experience is a plus.
• Part strategist, part research expert, part futurist. You stay informed of industry evolutions, and leverage your skills to surface market insights, talent trends, and inform recruitment strategies.
• A sourcing expert with experience partnering with business groups to gain an in-depth understanding and background in hiring top talent.
• A master of building diverse talent pipelines and teams. You're skilled at sourcing for inclusivity and are excited to join a team and organization where this is prioritized.
• Experienced in both business and creative recruitment. You understand how to assess creative portfolios and attract creative talent, but are equally fluent in building business disciplines.
• Self-motivated and driven; you look for solutions and impact, without being asked twice.
• Curious; you look to dig deeper beyond the surface level of a job profile researching market trends, and domain technology, and seek out information to have a solid understanding of the business. You ask for feedback and want to grow and develop in your career.
• Accustomed to moving fast, multitasking, and meeting multiple, tight deadlines.
• Are looking to join a team with momentum and a work-hard & 'spark joy' mentality, you offer innovative and constructive ideas to add to our team's chemistry and success.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $80,000 - $280,000.
