The role of Event Security Specialist is responsible for proactively analyzing and mitigating risk while managing all security aspects of Netflix Studio's public-facing marketing and publicity special events worldwide. The center focus of this consulting and service-oriented role is to grow and maintain strategic partnerships with our cross-functional team members by managing the design, coordination and execution of the safety & security plan for all Netflix Studio's special events.

Your Impact
An Events Security Specialist serves as the overall lead for planning collaboratively with internal Netflix cross-functional partners, third party security vendors, event production agencies, and law enforcement agencies. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of supporting entertainment related security practices with experience coordinating and managing security and logistics for Studio focused red carpet premieres, award ceremonies, film festivals, domestic and international publicity tours, large scale fan-centric conventions
Job Responsibilities
• Managing overall security and logistics operations at Netflix marketing and publicity special events
• Ensure administrative and pre-event coordination is aligned with cross-vertical partners
• Direct/Interface with executives, talent and VIP close protection details, as required
• Evaluate and develop risk assessments and intelligence updates for events, talent and Netflix staff, as required
• Provide guidance and recommendations for overall event management
• Vet security providers, transportation companies and other 3rd party vendors as needed
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with Local/State/Federal law enforcement, emergency response and governmental regulatory agencies and trusted security networks
Required Skills & Experience
• 7 years progressive professional experiences in entertainment, studio, and/or private sector event security management at a high level
• Prior leadership experience overseeing event security operations in an entertainment studio environment with a broad knowledge of security, logistics and legal principles
• A proven track record of working collaboratively with highly motivated cross-functional teams, proactive situational awareness, and rapid problem solving in high-stress environments
• Ability to work independently and on a team at a high level with little direction
• Experience analyzing and mitigating risk in ambiguous circumstances while maintaining a professional demeanor and focus
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Effective at building authentic relationships and the ability to engage with every level of internal staff, vendors, partners and executives
• Unwavering dedication to delivering a unparalleled customer service experience to all partner teams, talent and executives we serve
• Ability to think strategically as it pertains to global program development and execution, as well as manage and direct security protocols during the execution of a special events
• Critical thinking skills balanced with curiosity in dealing with problem solving and contingency planning
• Experience in driving innovation and creativity into strategic planning with a focus on service
• Experience managing vendor and close protection security
• Develop and maintain an extensive network of security providers, law enforcement and other contacts
• Willingness to travel globally up to 50% of the time as needed
