The Role:
The Specialist, Product & Games Communications, is a key contributor on the Product and Games communications team who can tell stories about innovative product features and technology that has shaped the Netflix member experience and the streaming industry to consumer and technology-enthusiast audiences alike. This role will operate cross functionally and regionally, working with product leaders and colleagues from around the world. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, and can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. We're looking for a team player who is collaborative, exercises good judgment, and demonstrates strong communication skills.
This role is based out of the Los Angeles OR Los Gatos office and reports to the Director of Communications for Product, Technology, and Games.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Identify impactful story angles, craft pitches, and secure stories
• Draft announcements, briefing materials, and messaging documents
• Develop and nurture media contacts
• Track, vet, and respond to media requests
• Serve as Primary Communications Contact for certain internal teams
• Track team budget and help maintain alignment with Finance partners
Qualifications:
• Up to 5 years of experience in an in-house and/or agency setting with a focus on consumer technology products and/or games
• Working knowledge of traditional and emerging consumer and/or tech media outlets and influencers
• Experience handling high volume of complex projects and tasks for multiple people and teams while simultaneously managing competing priorities
• A clear and concise communication style that can effectively convey complex ideas written and verbally
• Meticulous organizational skills, good judgment in the face of ambiguity, and effective time management
• Creative and resourceful thinker who is solution oriented
• Have a point of view, excited to offer their unique perspective and voice
• Open to giving and receiving feedback
• Positive attitude and embody our company values every day

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
The overall market range for this role is typically $65,000 - 320,000
