Intern - Story Department

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

New Regency Productions is looking for interns to work in the fast-paced Story Department in the spring semester. Our past films include 12 Years a Slave, Gone Girl, Birdman, Fight Club, and Mr and Mrs Smith. New Regency is a mini-studio located on the Twentieth Century Fox lot in Century City.

The Story Department serves the Creative Group in reading and processing our submissions as well as organizing New Regency's projects that are currently in development. The Story Department is also responsible for tracking writers, directors, and actors for the executives.

New Regency interns will learn about working in feature film development and the film industry by supporting the Creative Department, interacting with executives, assistants, and other sections of the company, while observing the process of moving a film along the development pipeline. Interns must receive undergraduate college credit, and work 2 - 3 days per week. Previous experience is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read scripts and write coverage
Maintain and organize script and video libraries
Maintain current New Regency projects and related files
Run phones, filing and various other office tasks
Compile writer, director, and actor lists and check availabilities with agencies
Perform other miscellaneous production, development and preproduction projects as assigned
