Description:

The Assistant Director, Stadium Operations will assist with the coordination and performance of the logistical and functional activities for non-baseball events, major league sporting events, concerts, and other major events held at Yankee Stadium. This position also will provide assistance with capital projects and stadium planning, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the logistical and functional needs for non-baseball events, football, soccer, and internal events taking place at Yankee Stadium including, but not limited to, by preparing all necessary paperwork detailing requirements for each event, including a thorough event overview, ROS/timeline, vendor manifests, and after action and written evaluations following each event, and distributing necessary paperwork for each event to appropriate staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute event planning for the Pinstripe Bowl Game, and other college football and major league soccer games.
• Meet with clients during walk-throughs and pre-event meetings to advance the planning and preparations for events.
• Serve as Stadium Operations Manager on Duty at each assigned event, working autonomously while effectively communicating with Stadium Operations leadership.
• Calculate, prepare, and submit estimated event expenses. Track all billing expenses and provide monthly reporting on all expenses for all non-baseball events, football, and soccer matches.
• Execute event and location agreements for clients and events directly managed by Stadium Operations (e.g., film shoots, meeting/receptions, trade shows, etc.).
• Liaison with internal departments to plan and execute approved pre-game and non-game day events, and communicate with such departments regarding event details and any changes prior to or during events.
• Coordinate the staffing requirements of all event staff including security, police, ticket takers, ambassadors, trades, and other departments necessary to effectively manage events.
• Assist the Executive Director, Stadium Planning and Special Projects in coordinating special projects including construction planning, budgeting, procurement, and programming.
• Manage Stadium Operations Coordinators and multiple interns during non-baseball events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in event management including managing, scheduling, and coordinating logistics for large sporting events, convention or trade shows, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Bachelor's degree with a major in business, recreation, hotel, or stadium management preferred.
• Experience at a major league stadium or arena is preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience is required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
• High level of organization and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to maintain confidential material and a continuous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases), and exceptional experience with Excel and spreadsheets.
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays for extended hours in an outdoor stadium environment.

The salary rage for this position is $110,000 – $120,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
