HR Generalist (Temporary)OVERVIEWThe Human Resources Generalist provides operations and administrative support across the entire People Team. This role requires an agile professional who can work across various HR functions, including People Partners, Labor and Employee Relations, Recruitment, Systems and Benefits. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take on a multifaceted role and gain exposure across different COEs, contribute to HR initiatives, and support the delivery of exceptional HR services to organization employees. The HR Generalist will have a broad scope and ability to impact the entire organization. The successful candidate will foster a collaborative working environment, take initiative and drive continuous improvement to HR functions.RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to provide administrative support in talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives.
• Assist the Systems & Benefits team in HRIS data entry, benefits administration, and contributing to the implementation of HR systems and processes.
• Assist the Labor and Employee Relations team by providing administrative support in resolving employee relations matters.
• Support the Recruitment team in coordinating interviews, scheduling candidate assessments, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Provide administrative support in various HR programs, including onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between HR and employees, addressing inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and facilitating resolutions to HR-related queries.
• Support the development and maintenance of HR documentation, including employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to HR reporting and analytics by gathering and organizing HR data, assisting in generating reports, and analyzing trends.The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of required responsibilities, duties and skills. Other duties may be assigned, and this job description can be modified at any time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2- 4 years of experience in HR roles, demonstrating exposure to multiple HR functions or COEs.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize and manage various tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Benefits systems; experience with Greenhouse, UKG applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and adaptable approach in a dynamic work environment.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTBachelor's degree or equivalent in work experienceWORK LOCATION
• Hybrid Permitted: This is a hybrid permitted role. Some aspects of this role include duties that are better performed at an NPR facility. The employee will be required to be onsite at the [Washington, DC / Culver City / New York City / Chicago] office at least 10 days a year. The employee must also reside in an NPR supported location based on the number of onsite days they choose.JOB TYPE
• This is a temporary (6-month) full time position.COMPENSATIONSalary Range: The U.S. based anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $75,000 - $85,000 plus benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries NPR expects to provide for new hires for the position across all US locations.Benefits: NPR offers access to comprehensive benefits for employees and dependents. Regular, full-time employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in NPR's benefits options.
