Indiana Fever Operations Assistant (Part Time)
JOB SUMMARY:
This seasonal position is responsible for assisting the Operations Coordinator in distributing and maintaining inventory for all equipment related to the Fever Basketball Team during the months of April through September. In addition, this position assists with daily team operations needs for practices and games as well as visiting team needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for assisting the operations coordinator with all equipment including, but not limited to, player uniforms, practice gear, shoes, travel bags, etc. Also includes coordination of other supplies for the team such as drinks, basketballs, locker room needs, practice equipment, and other needs for players and coaches, athletic training staff and front office staff.
• Responsible in assisting with the distribution and maintenance of player equipment including, but not limited to, daily laundry for the Fever, laundry for visiting teams, and packing for road trips.
• Works with the Operations Coordinator on daily practice needs for players and team practices at home. Runs a scoreboard/shot clock/keeps up with the schedule to be sure the equipment is there when they need it (whistles, ladders, playboards, etc…)
• General upkeep and maintenance of player locker room such as storage, cleaning, and re-stocking of toiletry items, beverages, and snacks.
• Ensure there are clean towels and other equipment is always available.
• Assists with the visiting team needs such as locker room needs, laundry, drinks, and practice needs. Makes sure their locker room is set up properly and stocked.
• Assists in the supervision of team attendants job duties during home games.
• Run errands outside the Fieldhouse as directed by coaching staff, basketball staff and athletic training staff.
• Help Fever coaches and basketball front office staff with any daily tasks needed including special projects, player housing, copies, delivery pickups etc.
• Availability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple daily tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year experience working with division 1 or professional basketball program in operations/equipment preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Manager, Clients, Customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Knowledge to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as basic mathematical concepts and analyzing costs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions.
PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:
Employee works independently most of the time, so must be able to resolve issues and problems on their own without supervision.
