This is a Full Time Job
Job Scope:
A full-time prep tech will provide superior customer service to our clients through technical knowledge, thorough prep of all gear, strong work ethic and a friendly disposition in accordance to the Panavision brand and reputation. In addition, the full-time prep tech position serves as the primary example to current and future prep techs in matters of how a successful prep should take place on a consistent basis. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing landscape of new and innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities (Prep Floor):
• Prep all gear thoroughly and efficiently for all preps and orders you are assigned.
• Provide an outstanding level of customer service with all preps, always having a willingness to listen and follow through with client demands and wants.
• Create and foster relationships with clients that will enable a high level of trust in you.
• Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technologies.
• Provide technical assistance to clients and other departments.
• Always be available for clients and co-workers.
• Problem solve and provide relevant solutions to problems or issues for clients and fellow employees.
• Provide a clean and organized prep area in accordance with Panavision standards.
• Be knowledgeable of other department's protocols and conduct of business.
• Be able to provide phone support for clients in the field when needed.
• Serve as an extension of the PVH marketing department when dealing with clients.
• Communicate clearly and often with all departments and clients regarding a prep.
• Provide feedback on current gear and new technologies when necessary.
• Be an active participant in weekly prep floor meetings.
• Other tasks and assignments as required.
Secondary Responsibilities (Logistics):
• Write up returning jobs utilizing Return Receipts / Docking Receipt.
• Receive jobs through the Pinnacle system.
• Inspect items for damage and report accordingly.
• Ship jobs through the Pinnacle system scanning and/or manually typing items into the computer.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms.
• Deliver/pick up various items (up to 50 lbs.) using company vehicle.
• Clean all cases and put into designated storage rooms/areas.
• Preserve barcodes and labels on all Panavision gear, replacing as needed.
• Ensure that the shipping and receiving area is kept clean and organized per health and safety standards.
• Provide an outstanding level of customer service with all clients and vendors.
• Always be available for clients and co-workers.
• Report on and missing and damaged items to Service and Marketing Representative.
• Other tasks and duties as required.
Skills/Experience Required:
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize workload with thorough attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain flexible towards changes in scheduled duties and ability to work well under pressure.
• Effective at problem solving and ability to troubleshoot.
• Manual dexterity with a strong mechanical inclination.
• Capacity to work on own initiative without constant supervision.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends when needed.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs.
• Be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• General knowledge of Panavision history and reputation.
• Working knowledge of film industry operations, fundamental theories of filmmaking and general understanding of post-production workflow.
• Prior camera house experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a warehouse environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position works standard business hours, Monday-Friday, but may require long hours (8-10 hour days) and 1-2 Saturdays per year to conduct company annual inventory count. Prompt and regular attendance is required, employees are expected to begin work at the start of their scheduled shift and to complete their assigned work shift according to the responsibilities of their position.
Travel:
No out of state travel is required or expected.

Salary Range:
$17.50 - $18.50 / Per Hour
