Nickelodeon Animation & Paramount Animation is in search of an experienced film executive to join the team as Vice President. This leadership role is responsible for all aspects of development including sourcing and acquiring animated theatricals and streaming movies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner closely with the President and EVP to ensure the vision of all Nickelodeon Animation & Paramount Animation content aligns with the company-wide goals - revenue and marketing objectives, as well as the mission and messaging of our brands.
• Oversee an active slate of development projects and maintain a pipeline of compelling, engaging and producible content for the Kids & Family audience.
• Solicit and oversee the pitch, acquisition and development process.
• Help build, mentor and manage the development process and team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the creative community â€'' agents, writers, producers, talent, etc…
• Help refine and maintain an industry database.
• Stay on the pulse of industry trends and maintain an active presence at relevant industry events in film, and television.
• Collaborate with the production management team on budget and scheduling.
• Maintain communication across platforms and departments including: Production, Marketing, Casting, Publicity, LOB’s, Series, Business and Legal Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 8 years of development experience in the film industry
• Minimum 3 years in creative executive capacity, specializing in film development
• Strong knowledge of film industry and digital streaming space
• Strong relationships with industry talent, agents, managers, writers and producers
• Experience in overseeing the pitch process for a production company and/or for a network or studio
• Good eye for talent and hands on experience giving notes to creators on outlines and scripts
• Understanding the animation production process is a plus.
