
Manager, International Accounting

Overview & Responsibilities:
As part of the Paramount International Controllership team, this role is responsible for international accounting and reporting. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting, analysis, and reporting for Paramount International division. The International Accounting team supports all aspects of actuals reporting and analysis for our international operations. We are seeking candidates at the Manager level to support our reporting and accounting processes.
This role reports to Senior Director, International Accounting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet account roll-forwards (deferred revenue, contingent liabilities, restructuring, FCTA, etc.)
• Review FX and FCTA reporting schedules on a monthly basis to identify potential errors and prepare accuracy tests
• Prepare the accounting entries, analysis, and maintain master data for restructuring actions
• Prepare monthly analysis and entries for hyperinflation accounting
• Balance sheet and P&L analysis and perform closing process for selected lines of business.
• Preparing or reviewing schedules to support internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process, working with various teams such as finance, shared services, controllership, and external reporting
• Support intangible and impairment reviews
• Opportunity to participate in various ad hoc analysis, reporting questions, and transaction related accounting activity
• Supporting our international participation and residual accruals review analysis
• Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations
• Active participation in finance and accounting related projects ((including system migrations)
• Demonstrate process improvement mindset and make all necessary efforts to standardize and harmonize accounting procedures
• Recommend and implement process improvements that maximize the team’s efficiency/effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5 years related work experience with a large audit firm and/or multi-entity organization with international operations
• Demonstrate proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution. Ability to take initiative, follow through and complete tasks on time
• Proven records for identification of process efficiency/effectiveness improvements opportunities and propose suggestions
• Demonstrate strong and up-to-date accounting knowledge (US GAAP)
• Good understanding of general accounting principles, concepts and processes to be able to form an opinion on accounting and process matters
• Proficient and confident in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Workload prioritization and management. May require meetings during morning hours to meet with colleagues overseas, support busy periods, etc.
• Excellent analytical skills with very strong attention to detail
• Proficient in interpersonal communication (oral, written, and listening)
• Ability to work autonomously
• Demonstrate ownership for own tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills with ability to present findings in a clear manner
Additional Qualifications
• CPA or parts passed preferred
• Prior International experience or history working with foreign currencies
• Experience with accounting systems migrations
• Prior entertainment & media experience a plus!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $95,000.00 - 110,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
