Description:
The Creative Music Strategy team at CBS Studios provides full-service music support across Paramount Global brands, including music supervision, licensing, marketing, and operations. The team collaborates with artists, composers, labels, and publishers to shape the sound of CBS content, manage the Paramount Music Library, and handle music-related licensing opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Input clearances handled by third-party Music Supervisors into the company's internal database
• Research publishing and master recording copyright ownership
• Consult with supervisors to determine public domain status for older works
• Negotiate license fees and terms, ensuring compliance with budget and company policy
• Manage music budgets, providing alternative music selections as needed
• Review script research reports to identify clearance issues
• Generate copyright reports and review cue sheets for accuracy
• Issue license requests
Qualifications:
• Education: BA or BS degree, preferably in Business of Music or related entertainment field
• Experience: 2+ years of music clearance experience in television, production, or music publishing
• Familiarity with copyright law and music licensing processes
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, producers, and external entities
• Strong relationships with publishers, record companies, and industry professionals
• Excellent organizational and computer skills
Salary:
