PETROL, a leading full-service advertising agency specializing in progressive marketing for some of the biggest brands in tech, sports, and video gaming-among many more-is seeking a full-time Media Planner. With dedicated departments for print services, motion graphics, AV, social media, interactive/digital, as well as media planning & buying, we regularly develop fully integrated global marketing campaigns for some major brands across genres.
We are looking for a new member of our in-house media team. In this position, you would be responsible for development and implementation for both national and local media campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with media team members (Director and Associate Director, Sr. Planners, Assistant Media Planner and Analyst)
Manages all aspects of digital and traditional media campaigns from setup to execution to post campaign.
Assist in comprehensive media strategy development to meet clients marketing objectives.
Assemble site consideration set and make recommendations on how to best allocate agency advertising budgets; utilizing media research tools, internal resources and industry/market knowledge.
Develop and issue RFP's to local media publishers; gather and analyze proposals to determine media selections, negotiate rates & positioning as required.
Develop final media plan recommendation and assist Account team in presenting the recommendation to the client.
Provide supporting research for recommended media strategies and plans.
Facilitate order processing and approval of media insertions.
Oversee and monitor ongoing campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are executed properly and according to client expectations.
Assist with account reconciliation
Assist team in strategic post-campaign analysis and provide recommendations for future initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have both traditional and digital planning experience
Must have agency experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher plus 2-3 years of media planning/buying experience
Advance computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint)
Fully knowledgeable with third party ad services including ComScore and Google Analytics
Strong writing, verbal, presentation and strategic and analytical thinking skills
Working knowledge of Video Game space and marketing
Buying knowledge for Video Game publisher a plus
Able to work independently and have excellent time management skills
Problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
Organized, and detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through
Excellent communication skills
Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc requests
Organized and process-oriented approach
Working knowledge of Agency processes
Self-motivated/ dynamic Individual
Entrepreneurial and team oriented spirit
