The Pittsburgh Pirates are seeking a ''Director, Marketing Operations'' to help enable, effective and efficient ways of working and communications across the Marketing & Fan Engagement organization. The candidate for this role must be an experienced, highly adaptable, organized and process-drive individual. You will ensure that the department has a clear focus, set processes and a firm foundation to enable the delivery of the highest quality output in support of departmental performance goals. The role requires a strong strategic lens, experience working in and around marketing teams, and ability to support the department in shaping processes and optimum workflow.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a firm grasp of marketing and media topics, and analytical problem solver, and not solely a project manager/organizer. You will serve as the ''air traffic controller'' for a large team and will need to be highly communicative and organized.
Job Responsibilities:
• In partnership with the EVP of Marketing & Fan Engagement, identify ways to improve departmental operations to help streamline and improve productivity, communication and alignment.
• Monitor the ballclub's daily marketing operations and communication, addressing potential issues when they arise.
• Owner of the departmental marketing/communications/content calendar.
• In collaboration with Business Intelligence, build and analyze marketing dashboards and reports to track against key success metrics.
• Establish a cadence of weekly/monthly/quarterly checkpoints to ensure coordination and collaboration in work.
• Oversee the project management function, ensuring all work is delivered on-time, on-budget and on-brief.
• Be a facilitator of best practices, researching the latest trends and gathering new ideas from industry analysts, experts, and peers/competitors.
• Develop and maintain a sustainable system to organize marketing's files/resources.
• Act as point of contact for departments outside of marketing, supplying information via consistent and repeatable formats.
• Other duties as assigned by EVP, Marketing & Fan Engagement.

Job Requirements:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in marketing or agency operations
• Experience synthesizing information and critical details for leadership and driving implementation of decisions and department operations direction
• Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
Desired:
• Experience working in professional sports
