Job Summary
This role will assist the Ballpark Entertainment and Fan Engagement team for Pirates home games and required special events at PNC Park. This position will learn about the day-to-day functions of the Bucco Brigade, Pierogies, and other game day employees. This position will work with the Marketing Department to help create a vision for a fun-filled, family oriented, state-of the-art approach to game entertainment at PNC Park. This person will need to be highly organized, detail oriented, and have a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
Primary:
• Assist with the collection and distribution of promotional items for pregame experiences.
• Assist Manager, Ballpark Entertainment by greeting and escorting pregame ceremony participants to the field prior to the start of the game.
• Stay for duration of select games to facilitate post-game fan experiential packages; Kids Run the Bases, Catch on the Field, Watch Fireworks from the Field, etc.
• Provide follow up communication to all pre-game attendees via email with photos from their experience.
• Collect and distribute all materials needed for the Bucco Brigade to execute their in-game activations matching the game's script.
• Support Coordinator, Fan Engagement with execution of Theme Nights, Block Parties, Family Fun Days, and Pup Nights.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Secondary:
• Assist Manager, Ballpark Entertainment and Director, Ballpark Entertainment with curating the script for each game.
• Work with other departments to collect needed information for pre-game and in-game promotional reads.
• Serve as an additional point of contact for theme night execution around the ballpark; Pup Nights, Yinzerpalooza, Family Fun Days, Hall of Fame, etc.
Qualifications
Required:
• Candidates majoring in Marketing or similar field.
• Must be in a Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desired:
• Experience with collegiate or professional sports team.
• Previous event management experience.
