Playground is seeking two New York-based executive assistants across several senior management desks. Playground is a London and New York-based television and theatre production company behind hit TV series such as ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL and WOLF HALL, as well as the global theatre production of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD. The company currently has a host of television and theatre projects in various stages of production.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hiring two candidates for full-time, in-person positions at our midtown office.
Both positions entail supporting high-level executives working across a large slate of international television and theatre production and development projects. The ideal candidate must have the ability to proactively function under and meet tight deadlines, work collaboratively within a close-knit, team-oriented environment and efficiently manage daily schedules/calendars across several time zones. Qualified candidates must have precise, detailed-oriented organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and writing abilities.
Looking for individuals who are prepared for the rewards and challenges of working within a small team responsible for a large, active production slate, and well someone individuals with the drive to learn and contribute to the larger team. The job requires a strong work ethic; the ability to focus on and transition quickly between administrative, production and development tasks; and a passion for television, film and entertainment. Duties will include:
Administrative support including scheduling calls (across multiple times zones) and in-person meetings, answering phones and rolling calls, arranging domestic and international travel, note-taking, arranging talent gifts and general office admin tasks.
Filing important production and development materials on behalf of Joint-MDs and/or Playground team as needed.
Maintaining various databases and lists and conducting project research on development and production projects as needed.
Liaising with internal staff and productions teams at all levels in the US and UK.
Assisting with occasional personal tasks such as booking reservations, theatre tickets and transport.
Assess submitted or development materials on behalf of Development team as directed.
Basic Qualifications:
1+ year experience at a television production company, studio, network or talent agency preferred
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Basic knowledge of production preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required. Knowledge of Final Draft and Powerpoint strongly preferred.
Must have a bachelor's degree.
Salary/Benefits
$40,000.00 - 50,000.00 per year
