PMC: Senior Manager, Finance & Planning (Dick Clark Productions & Golden Globes)
Penske Media Corp. (PMC) is adding an experienced Senior Manager to our FP&A team, based in our West Los Angeles offices. This position will work within the PMC Finance team in the financial analysis and planning of Dick Clark Productions (DCP) and the Golden Globes. Dick Clark Productions is the production company behind major award shows including the Golden Globe Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards.

This role will be critical in creating and tracking budgets, proactively reviewing expenses for potential savings, and presenting detailed analytical recommendations to improve the overall profitability.? General knowledge of business operations and accounting are essential.? This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both finance and non-financial oriented individuals at various levels of the organization. You will also prepare variance reporting, cash forecasting, financial modeling, and other ad hoc requests as required by management. This role is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
• Own the top to bottom financials for DCP & Golden Globes
• Work with the CEO & other leaders to develop the annual budget and ongoing forecasts
• Manage and provide monthly variance reporting to Brand leads
• Lead meetings with sales, operational, and production leaders
• Compile & analyze Event P&L and G&A costs to provide meaningful reporting to management on an ongoing basis
• Lead and execute special projects and analysis on an as needed basis
• Review Revenue/Pricing Strategies for the business
• Proactively review P&L by business unit for potential expense savings, including headcount, contract review, leveraging purchasing power, etc.
• Assist the SVP Finance in preparing presentations for the Board of Directors
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for annual and quarterly meetings
• Reconcile P&L accounts for accurate financial reporting
Requirements and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA a plus
• 8 years of relevant experience required; previous FP&A manager level experience or similar required
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Strong analytics and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and high standards in quality and accurate reporting
• Excellent communication skills and organized
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take projections to completion
• Event & Media production, and/or Entertainment experience preferred
• Previous Production Finance and/or Accounting experience preferred
• NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred
• Experience with Google Analytics, Workday Adaptive Budgeting Software or Looker a plus
Salary/Benefits
$110,000.00 - 125,000.00 per year
Typical wage range: $110k - $125k plus annual bonus. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
