Tax Associate for Business Management Firm : Music/Entertainment Industry
We are a Business Management firm that manages finances for musicians, songwriters, producers, and other high-profile clients. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Tax Associate.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of Corporate, Partnership and Individual tax returns
Able to analyze financial statements and make corresponding adjusting entries.
Ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
Special projects as needed
Requirements:
Accounting Degree and/ or Masters in Taxation
CPA and / or has the intention of sitting for the exam in the near future preferable but not required
Experience with preparation of Corporate, Partnership, and Individual tax returns (1-4 years)
Knowledge of tax software, preferably CCH Axcess. Should other accounting software have been used, ability to transition those skills to new software
Strong writing skills to deal with tax notices and audits
Have used QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, & Outlook
Positive attitude, a self-motivator with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of current tax laws
The ideal candidate will be thorough and direct with strong critical thinking skills, and will have the ability to prioritize effectively.
Salary: $65-85k base, commensurate with experience. Bonus eligible.
Salary/Benefits
$65,000.00 - 85,000.00 per year
