WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Project & Production Manager, Industry Leader Engagement & Chapter Operations is part of the team responsible for the development and execution of high impact programs, service opportunities and engagement for music industry leaders and Professional Members, regardless of Chapter (i.e., member-wide industry leader initiatives, virtual events, online content, communications, and more). Under the guidance of the Managing Director, Industry Leader Engagement and Chapter Operations, you will also work closely with the Executive Directors of six Chapters (Atlanta, Florida, Los Angeles, Pacific Northwest, San Francisco, and Texas) to ensure they have the support necessary to implement Academy objectives and deliver quality service to their members.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
NATIONWIDE INITIATIVES
• Work collaboratively with the Industry Leader Engagement team, and across departments, to facilitate the Entertainment Law Initiative GRAMMY week event and writing contest.
• Facilitate program and initiative-related activities in partnership with teams such as Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing & Social Media, Communications, Creative, Editorial and Video.
• Develop and manage other programs to enhance the Professional Member experience and engage industry leaders.
• Support Academy-wide initiatives related to other areas such as Advocacy, DE&I, GRAMMY Global Ventures, GRAMMY Museum, The Latin Recording Academy, and MusiCares as they relate to the mission of serving the industry leader and Professional Member community.
MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
Play a role in the development and execution of high quality, high impact programs, services, and/or initiatives including:
• Develop pre/post event budgets with accompanying narrative and timelines.
• Develop detailed plans for events (e.g., marketing and production timelines, program communications and promotion, staff assignments, venues, vendors and suppliers, legal obligations).
• Coordinate onsite needs, including but not limited to venue management/stage management, caterers, contractors, equipment hire, parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality, and the media.
• Coordinate virtual event needs including promotions, graphics, platform selection and use, etc.
• Work with Digital Team to coordinate content capture, video shoots, shot lists, archives, social media strategies, essentially all sharable media from Chapter programs.
• Fulfill sponsor and partner activations.
• Manage relationships and contract negotiations with event vendors such as publicists, photographers, videographers, production, rentals, catering etc.
• Coordinate volunteer/staffing requirements, recruitment, trainings, and briefings.
• Ensure adherence to insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations.
• Help with day of operations for events to ensure smooth operation (travel may be required).
• Prepare post-event follow-up and evaluation including presenter and volunteer acknowledgement, producing reports for event stakeholders, and data entry/analysis.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in music business or related preferred.
• 5+ years of professional event production and management experience, preferably within music or creative industries.
• Experience with audio/video production, staging, and lighting, for attendee experience and for post-event media usage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce a plus.
• Social media marketing experience a plus.
• Must remain flexible, decisive, and composed in a dynamic production environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills to effectively interact at all levels.
• Must feel comfortable soliciting and receiving performance feedback.
• Must be available to travel domestically 5 to 10 times per year.
