We are an upcoming cable TV network focused on creating a musical experience controlled and curated entirely by artists, and music fans. We are aggressively looking for highly creative, young, Avid editors to produce promotional pieces for our brand.

This person must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with our creative director and be well versed in Avid Media Composer while having some knowledge of After Effects. Working knowledge of HD cameras is a must, preferably Canon EOS and RED.

You must be between the ages of 18-30. Must love all Music types!

Responsibilities:
Avid HD Editing on Media Composer Nitris
Color correction experience with Avid Color Correction Tool
Digitizing, Up resolution, and Digital Cut to tape and/or transfer processes.
Editing with layers, matte keys, luma keys, audio sweetening and other layer effects/tools including 3rd party plug ins with speed and efficiency for live broadcasts.
Working knowledge of Avid Interplay
Troubleshooting media processes & File transfer for live broadcast using Avid command, and workspace structure knowledge
XDCAM, HDCAM, DVCPro HD, Digi, BetaSP, DV and IMX deck knowledge
Router knowledge - moving media to and from sources and playback methods.
Interface with Engineering & Digital Transfer Center regarding maintenance problems or issues.
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
3-5 Years non-linear editing experience (Avid Preferred)
Degree in Communications is preferred
Must be Client oriented
Must possess ability to work under time restraints and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal & communications skills required
Strong work ethic, positive attitude & leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities a must
Willing to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance
