Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Marketing Manager who will take the lead in developing and executing creative marketing strategies across our social media platforms, branding efforts, and marketing materials. This person will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics, curating compelling content, and ensuring that our voice resonates with an audience that values art, culture, consciousness and cinematic expression. The ideal candidate will possess a niche, editorial eye for design, an intuitive understanding of creative trends, and an interest in art, culture, and film.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Management:
Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) that engages our target audience, builds brand awareness, and strengthens community engagement.
Content Creation & Design:
Create visually engaging social media content, including graphics, videos, posts, stories, and reels. This will involve collaborating with our in-house editor, lead producer, and external freelancers to ensure high-quality, on-brand output that speaks to our artistic vision and mission.
Marketing Materials:
Design and produce print and digital marketing materials, including one-pagers, posters, one-sheets, email templates, presentations, and press kits. Ensure consistency of visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.
Collaboration with Content & Creative Teams:
Work closely with filmmakers, graphic designers, and other creatives to develop promotional content for films, events, and projects. Provide creative input and direction for shoots, campaigns, and other visual assets.
Audience Engagement & Analytics:
Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, report on engagement metrics, and adjust strategies to optimize reach and impact. Engage with our community of followers, building a strong, loyal, and interactive fan base.
Trendspotting & Cultural Awareness:
Stay plugged into current trends in art, culture, film, and visual storytelling. Identify and leverage new opportunities for creative campaigns and partnerships that align with our ethos.
Event & Campaign Support:
Support the marketing of events, film launches, and other initiatives through creative assets and promotional campaigns. Be hands-on in conceptualizing and executing cross-platform promotional strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related role within a creative, arts, or film-oriented environment. Experience in working with artistic brands or cultural projects is a plus.
Creative & Artistic Vision: A strong, refined aesthetic sensibility and understanding of design principles, with the ability to create content that is both visually compelling and aligned with our brand's artistic values.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.). Experience with video editing is highly desirable, but not a requirement.
Strong Writing & Editorial Skills: Excellent written communication skills with an ability to craft compelling, on-brand copy for social media, campaigns, and marketing materials.
Cultural Insight: Deep understanding of contemporary art, culture, and film industries, with the ability to translate cultural trends into effective marketing content.
Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Self-Starter: A proactive, motivated individual who is comfortable working independently in a startup environment and as part of a team. Creativity and initiative are key in this role.
