Temporary Voiceover Lab Administrator

Position Summary:
Reporting to the National Director of Performers Programs, The Voiceover Lab Administrator oversees the development and implementation of instructional programming at The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in Los Angeles that provides actors interested in voiceover with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of the field. The administrator is also responsible for managing the daily operations of the Lab's three (3) recording studios (scheduling recording engineers, booking recording sessions, assisting actors with technical procedures, software and hardware maintenance and updates) and for maintaining the VO lab master calendar.
Responsibilities
LA VO Lab Administration
•Serves as an ambassador of the Voiceover Lab with a clear understanding of the Lab's mission, usage policies, and objectives.?
•Creates, promotes, and manages Voiceover Lab programming (classes, panels, equipment seminars; etc.).?
•Compiles survey data from VO Lab programming and references that data to produce quarterly performance reports in Airtable.
•Schedules recording sessions for both Voiceover Lab studios. -
•Updates monthly VO Lab calendar of events, which tracks daily studio sessions and event programming. -
•Develops and maintains good working relationships with Voiceover Lab users, as well as with voiceover professionals and instructors affiliated with the Lab and the wider voice over community. -
•Coordinates studio software and hardware updates, upgrades, and repairs. -
•Manages work and payroll schedules of Voiceover Lab staff. -
•Maintains roster of back up audio engineers. -
•Uses social media platforms to share information about the Voiceover Lab and other important topics associated with Voiceover. -
Recording Studio -
•Proficiently uses Pro Tools 2024.10.1, and Twisted Wave, and can train others in the basic functionality (recording, editing, processing, file saving) of these DAWs; Reaper and Audacity are a plus.
•Teaches Voiceover Lab users recording hardware and software procedures during solo booth recording sessions. -
•Understands basic studio recording set ups (audio interfaces, microphones, computers).
Qualifications
•Proficient in Avid Pro Tools 2024.10.1 and Twisted Wave DAWs; Reaper, Audacity are a plus.
•Strong people skills; able to cultivate strategic and collaborative relationships internally and externally. -
•Manage telephone, email and in-person interactions with professionalism and consideration.?
•Excellent written communication skills.?
•Supportive personality that can instruct others with patience and respect. -
•Effective management of elevated levels of personal information with confidentiality. -
•Able to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under very tight deadlines. -
•Able to work in a high-paced, ever-evolving environment.?
•Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's sole discretion. -
•Available and willing to work overtime or extended hours per day/week and sometimes weekends as needed. -
•Proficient use of G-Suite, Airtable, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.?
•Proficient use of social media platforms. -

Salary/Benefits
$68,640.00 - 69,000.00 per year
