Rampage Public Address Announcer

Overview:
The San Antonio Rampage are looking for someone to serve as the Public Address Announcer for all home games for the 2019-2020 American Hockey League season.

The Rampage will host one (1) preseason, thirty-eight (38) regular season, and any additional playoff games at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Public Address Announcer may also serve as host/emcee for various community and special events as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the PA Announcer at all Rampage home games. This includes all preseason, regular season, playoff, and any other game-like events as necessary. This candidate will provide pertinent information throughout game play to keep the fans updated and involved.
• The PA Announcer must abide by all AHL Rules and Procedures, following the requests of Rampage staff and sponsors. Position will attend all meetings related to Game Presentation at the request of the Franchise Game Operations Coordinator.
• Appear in public as the voice of the San Antonio Rampage as requested for community events. These elements include potential interviewing of players, coaches, or Hockey Operations staff. This also includes positively interacting with the community at all requested community events.
• Present himself/herself in a professional manager while in public. This includes all social media networks. Candidate must refrain from putting himself/herself or Spurs Sports & Entertainment in any negative light while conducting any interviews or social media posts. This also includes following all organization rules and procedures about interaction with Hockey Operations staff outside of work.

Qualifications:

• Audio submissions must be sent no later than July 3, 2019.
• Must have two (2) years of announcing experience (Game Presentation experience is beneficial but not required).
• Able to work all preseason, regular season, and any additional playoff games for the San Antonio Rampage 2019-2020 season. This includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of American Hockey League rules and regulations.
• A quick thinker who can be creative, accurate, and authentic while presenting the game. Must have strong communication and organization skills.
• Must be self-starter, proactive, and highly-motivated.
• A strong, pleasant voice that will guide and engage fans through each game.
• Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Great teamwork and customer service skills required.
• Stand/Sit/Walk for long periods of time.
