The Executive Producer, New Business - APAC, operates at an Executive level across multiple client relationships and projects and will have a regional focus within the APAC market. They are subject matter experts in bidding, methodology, negotiation, and client strategy. The primary focus is on new business development, client and studio relationship management, rapid iterative bidding at the pre-award stage, and practical methodological partnerships with clients.
Reporting to the Vice President of strategy and production, they bid on projects to target margins and deliver against quarterly sales revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains client & studio relationships and acts as a key partner to provide appropriate support & guidance for their VFX needs
• New business bidding, client relationship management, creative collaboration with Heads of VFX/ Bidding VFX Supervisors
• Knowledge of sales cycles and following through from lead-in to award VFX agreement execution
• Hand-off package at Initial Award to designated VFX team (VFX Producer & VFX Supervisor) - including boards/previs brief, key dev sequence brief, and consolidated bid package
• Monitors client satisfaction & project performance both creatively & financially throughout the project life cycle
• Collaboration with comms & marketing on show announcements, team bios, showreel creation & awards planning
• Closely connected to VFX Producer & VFX Operations team through project lifecycle to monitor creative & financial performance
• Provides mentorship to VFX Producers on project budgets, milestones, resources project & management, deliveries, and implementation of VFX schedule on awarded projects
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the VFX industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management role focused on new business development and client relations
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple high-profile VFX projects and leading business development initiatives
• In-depth knowledge of VFX production processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Strong understanding of the APAC market and regional business dynamics
• Expertise in bidding processes, negotiation, and client strategy development
• Experience in managing complex client relationships and strategic partnerships
• Ability to create and present compelling proposals and pitches to potential clients
• Proficient in financial management, including budget development, margin targeting, and sales revenue forecasting
• Familiarity with VFX software and tools, and a strong grasp of the technical aspects of VFX production
• Competence in project management software and CRM systems
• Excellent knowledge of Gsuite/ Excel
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide VFX Producers and teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve conflicts
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strategic mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Fluency in English; and either Korean or Japanese
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region as needed to support client meetings and project requirements
