POSITION OVERVIEW
The Seattle Storm is seeking a professional and detail-oriented individual with interest and experience in event/sports management and/or game day operations as a seasonal assistant. This position will work to create a successful fan experience by executing various game day responsibilities with a fan-focused mentality. This position will report to the Manager of Business Operations and work closely with cross-functional teams to support the game day operations of the Seattle Storm.
This is a full-time, 40 hour/week seasonal position starting in early May and running through mid-September with an extension for playoffs, if applicable. Position will have an in-office component in addition to game day responsibilities. Attendance at all Seattle Storm games is a requirement. Most games are on evenings and weekends, please see 2024 Seattle Storm Schedule to confirm availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with coordination of cross-functional teams as well as internal/external partners to compile game day run of show. Ensure that all relevant partners are aligned on all pertinent game day information.
• Coordinate game day requests and expectations with key partners including Climate Pledge Arena. Assist in set-up and tear down for events.
• Act as liaison for game day vendors, performers, and other partners from pre-event communication through day of execution and post-event follow up.
• Work with Stage Managers to facilitate corporate partner activation requests on game days.
• Coordinate premiums and other giveaways as needed including inventory, transportation from storage, and distribution.
• Flexibility and adaptability are essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will show resourcefulness, creativity and problem-solving skills.
ROLE DURATION
• Early May, 2024 – September 17, 2024, with an extension for playoffs, if applicable
COMPENSATION
• $20/hour
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the 2024 Seattle Storm Schedule.
• Preferred 1 years of relevant experience in sports event space and interested in pursuing a career in sports management or operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, fans, and vendors.

• A flexible schedule is vital, as the demands of the job will include weekend and evening hours
• A strong knowledge of the Seattle Storm and the WNBA is preferred
• Adhere to Seattle Storm organization policies and procedures
• Act as a role model within and outside the Storm organization
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize workload with efficient time management skills
• Reliable transportation is required, must have high standard of punctuality
• Other duties as assigned
