Internship Season: Spring Semester
Time/Days Required: 15 - 20 hours a week
Workplace Requirements: 100% remote
The Outreach & Engagement Intern works with staff on our social engagement, impact strategy development, and grassroots distribution. In 2025, we will be working on the distribution and outreach for our latest projects focusing on immigration reform, (Home Is Somewhere Else) and refugees (From This Small Place), autism awareness (Comedy Against the Odds), and child labor (The Harvest and Anuja) as well as all our past films through our IGNITE program. We also are in development/production on several new projects looking at mental health and fostering resilience in children and will be researching and developing outreach and impact strategies for these projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage community distribution requests and fulfillment
• Identify possible outreach and distribution partners
• Research issues for current and possible projects
• Assist in project fundraising
• Monitor press mentions and relevant news
• Work with staff on creating and implementing outreach and impact strategy
• Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• Excellent research skills
• Knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel
• Detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording data
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
