Shore Fire Media is looking for a sharp, ambitious Junior Account Executive to join our company. This role is designed for those who possess a natural drive to work hard in a demanding, fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone with a deep passion for music, startup and internet culture, and new media. The applicant should be interested in working on a diverse client roster that will include some or all of the following: authors, musicians, tours, events, venues, entrepreneurs, music businesses, non-profits, production companies, start-ups, and more. A minimum 18 months to two years of PR agency experience is required.
WHAT YOU HAVE
• you have a minimum 18 months to two years PR agency experience
• you have excellent time management and organization skills and attention to detail
• you can work hard and persevere through challenges
• you take initiative and problem solve and work well under pressure
• you have pitched, secured, scheduled and seen through media commitments
• you have the ability to keep track of several working media conversations at once
• you take direction well and follow through
• you are a team player
• you have exemplary writing, communication, and storytelling skills
• you have covered in-person media and interacted with journalist and clients
• you are a voracious consumer of media and news
• you have experience with PR contact databases and email servicing - Constant Contact, Cision, Muck Rack, etc
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Work on multiple publicity campaigns from day one
• Draft written material: press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, talking points, etc.
• Draft, update, and deliver finalized press reports to supervisors
• Share daily press clippings with supervisor + client
• Maintain client EPK and client notes documents in an organized and timely manner
• Take ownership of pitching targets + deliver results
• Collaborate with team members on campaign strategy
• Oversee logistics of appearances, interviews, and events
• Log tour press requests, send invites, pitch previews, create master tour press schedules
• Handle client communication + be on top of all emails and action items
• Take ownership of a challenging situation with supervisor guidance
• Draft call agenda, take notes on calls and send recaps / next steps to client
• Communicate with supervisor on daily tasks
• Prioritize work as it relates to each client's bigger picture narrative / timeline
