This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
LOCATION: Los Angeles (In-person)
SongsYouLike is a music management company and a collective of producers, songwriters, and artists composed of Duncan Laurence, Loring Starr, Sean Myer, Selena Dosan, Ojivolta, Paul Phamous, and Liza Owen.
This position will work closely alongside the EA and our ideal candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; have great attention to detail and love music! No prior music management experience is required but is encouraged.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Assisting the day to day manager and the assistant in the daily operations of the business
Becoming familiar with different departments of the music industry
Staying up to date with everything happening in the calendar and clients' schedules
Sending in new talent that would be suitable to potentially collaborate with
Researching new social media or music trends and ideas and reporting them to the team
Being proactive towards learning about the company, our clients, and how all operations roll out
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at a university in the U.S. and open to receiving college credit
Loves a wide variety of music
Interested in learning about all sectors of the music industry
Excellent written and communication skills and great attention to detail
NOT REQUIRED BUT ENCOURAGED:
Work well independently
Passionate about social trends, digital marketing, and creativity
Involved in campus activities and would be able to connect with members of those communities to be able to put together an experience or promotional activity
WHAT YOU WOULD LEARN:
How to work directly with music industry executives and professionals in departments like digital marketing, A&R, PR, management, publishing, and more.
How an album release campaign rolls out
How to grow an artist's fan base and expand their network through social media
And anything else you would want to learn about the music business!!!
This would be about 10-20 hours a week in person located at our office in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Please send all questions, resumes, and cover letters to email provided.
