Intern - Docuseries
SonMax Entertainment
Buffalo, NYThis is a Freelance Unpaid Internship
Internship Opportunity: Documentary Filmmaker for Touring Band Docuseries ''Setlist'':
We're seeking a film/documentary intern to join us on tour and capture an uncensored, raw, and emotionally
powerful docuseries about two brothers whose lives and music are shaped by adversity, survival, and
redemption. The individual ideally would be available 2 weeks of the tour, or for specific dates (upon discussion)
About the Project: ''Setlist''
This touring docuseries dives into the reality and grind of making it as a band in the constantly changing music
industry-from the struggles of independent touring to the unfiltered, behind-the-scenes chaos of life on the
road. Along the way, it explores themes of autism, mental health, addiction, and resilience, aiming to inspire
hope that no matter the obstacles, people can overcome adversity and chase their dreams.
The series follows two brothers whose personal and musical journeys are deeply intertwined:
1. The lead singer, guitarist, and driving force behind the band. He has battled addiction, a near-fatal
stabbing, and suicidal struggles. He also founded Rock Autism, an organization that helps employ individuals in
the entertainment industry to keep them from isolation, addiction, incarceration, and suicide.
2. The drummer, who is autistic and survived gang violence, addiction, incarceration, and being shot by
a drunk corrections officer. His story inspired the creation of a feature film and a musical, both of which the
band will incorporate into their performances on tour.
3. The manager, the glue that holds the group together.
The band's sound is described as ''John Mayer meets The Red Hot Chili Peppers,'' blending soulful storytelling
with high-energy rock.

A portion of the tour benefits their organization, Rock Autism, which teaches the fundamental principles of
