Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Realtime Production Coordinator for our Vancouver Location!
Summary:
The Realtime Production Coordinator reports directly to the Production Department Manager and Head of Production. The role supports the Realtime Production Manager (RPM) and show DPM(s)/Producer(s) in using realtime technology across all active productions. The Coordinator provides support to artists and works with the Realtime Support Team to ensure best practices and workflows spanning multiple disciplines. This role is highly diverse and at the cutting edge of new technology. The ideal candidate will have strong department coordination skills and should be passionate about exploring new and upcoming technology. Possessing a fundamental understanding of Unreal Engine (UE) and software development workflows is a great advantage.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Coordinate and track the progress of realtime tools development and milestones among the realtime support team
• Assist in prioritizing cross-studio tasks and goals, providing status updates to shows as needed
• Field requests from multiple sources internally and from external clients
• Organize and maintain documentation on Unreal Engine and related realtime tools and artist workflows in Confluence
• Coordinate, prep, and schedule realtime production meetings
• Take notes in meetings/reviews and clearly disseminate those notes to all appropriate team members
• Assist in communicating and coordinating with realtime technology vendors
• Assist in tracking Unreal tickets and licenses on their Developer Network
• Coordinate realtime workflows between respective HODs and Producers
• Assist in building trust and support with Production and Artist teams across all active UE shows
• Coordinate with Systems and Perforce Admin in maintaining license and storage requirements
• Coordinate with Systems, Training, and Show Production for Unreal PC set-up and training needs
• Work with show production to track realtime workflows in ShotGrid using established methodologies
• Track software and hardware tickets with third-party vendors for the Realtime Visualization team
• Help organize inter-department and multi-department social events with the realtime support team
• Help manage all hours worked within the team to monitor well-being and energy levels
• Provide cross-team coverage, directing questions to team members when others are absent
What We Need to See:
• Minimum 2 years of Film or Game Production Coordinating experience
• Production Coordination experience in Development, Pipeline, Layout, Asset, and/or Lighting departments
• Highly organized, resourceful, diligent, and proactive with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a multi-disciplinary team
• Comfortable learning and implementing new workflows and software methodologies
• Positive, forward-thinking attitude, offering solutions as needed
• Strong advocate for team health, resources, and growth
• Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities, especially in the absence of clear direction and undefined workflows
• Desire to explore and learn realtime workflows
• Fundamental knowledge of Sony Imageworks pipeline and workflows, or similar industry pipelines
• Experience in ShotGrid production tracking
• Experience in Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
Salary Information:
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22.00 - $24.50 per hour. Benefits include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSPs, Sick and Vacation leave, and standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on factors such as the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of the position.
