Coordinator, A&R Ops / Admin

This is a Full Time Job

This position assists Legacy (Sony Music's catalog division) A&R department, with an emphasis on video content along with the operations and administration of the audio department. Sony Music's catalog is vast, and you'll be involved with the whole A&R team operationally as they curate and expose this incredible catalog to existing and future fans.

What you'll do:
• Schedule audits, reporting and project tracking; meet regularly with A&R staff for project updates and liaise with release planning dept for any pertinent updates (i.e., help keep the audio and visual A&R staff on time and organized with their many projects)
• Send out source approvals and corresponding updates, add projects to the schedule (i.e., help communicate with the other departments)
• Assist in helping the staff assemble proper A&R paperwork for each project
• Work with our studios to book mixing/mastering/recording sessions
• Work with our visual A&R department to help handle all shortform and longform video requests (e.g., Select chapter images and trailers, create cue sheets and synopses for longforms, etc.)

Who you are:
• The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and has a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in the general field of music
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint/Keynote, Photoshop & Outlook), an intimate knowledge of all DSPs, and general knowledge of Google docs, Smartsheet and similar tools
• Willing and able to learn a variety of proprietary Sony Music analytics tools, invoicing programs, etc.
• Successful candidate needs to possess a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and a demonstrated ability to thrive and stay organized in a fast-paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
• A proactive, flexible, self-starter who has strong problem-solving, social and interpersonal skills.
• The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are also required.
