This is a Full Time Job
As a Coordinator, Business and Legal Affairs, you will support and assist the Executive VP, Global Business Affairs Operations, Executive VP, Global Public Policy and Government Relations, and two Senior VP's of Public Policy and Government Affairs.
What you'll do:
• Assist with set up for new employees and other HR matters for BA department
• Assist in drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and contract research
• Answer phones, maintain schedule and arrange meetings
• Assist in preparation of annual budget presentation
• Maintain Sony Music PAC records and oversee balance. Prepare periodic lobbying reports and international compliance/disclosure filings as needed
• Create and track matter numbers for Sony Music Latin and serve as point of contact for related inquiries
• Arrange travel
• Process expense reports and department bills and other payments
• Prepare time sheets
• Coordinate department meetings and events (internal and related to industry trade bodies – RIAA and IFPI)
• Liaise with Facilities and purchasing departments
• Basic online research
• Organize and maintain filing system
• Provide departmental support as needed to others on the team, including assisting with miscellaneous requests, overseeing department facilities, and lending help where most needed
• Prepare presentations in PowerPoint
In addition, Coordinator will have independent responsibilities:
• Serve as a BLA ''super-user'' for various company used systems such as ''Concur'' expense tracking
• Research information for infringement and sampling claims
• Support A&R Administration activities for SME/RED artists
Who you are:
• Minimum of 2 years administrative experience or recent college graduate with demonstrated learning potential (i.e., strong academic performance, prior industry experience/interest)
• Highly motivated and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in computer software applications (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); must be very adept at learning new technologies and systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented, organized, timely and accurate
• Extremely resourceful, organized and ''can do'' attitude
• Punctual, available to work overtime
• Polished and diplomatic
• Prepared to commit to a minimum of 2 years in the position
