Position Overview:
AWAL, a division of Sony Music, is seeking a Senior Director of Artist Marketing to work with a diverse roster of artists and lead marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will manage a range of marketing activities, collaborate with multiple departments across the US, UK, and internationally, and maintain a high level of relationship management with artists and external partners. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, data analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead marketing efforts for a roster of artists, managing creative marketing campaigns.
• Oversee budgeting, release schedules, communication, and reporting for projects.
• Collaborate with A&R, digital accounts, synch, publicity, commerce, and other teams to develop and promote artists.
• Synchronize campaigns with global marketing teams and external brand partners.
• Manage relationships with external brand and marketing partners.
Required Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in a music marketing role, preferably with major-label experience.
• Strong understanding of current and future music trends, digital marketing, and streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with industry tools like Music Connect, Mediabase, and Chartmetric.
Skills and Attributes:
• Strong project management, business acumen, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Exceptional organization, multitasking, and communication skills.

Salary/Benefits
$125,000.00 - 140,000.00 per year

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
