Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) is one of the industry's leading content providers, producing programming worldwide across genres and platforms. As the largest independent TV studio in the industry, SPTS produces 50+ shows each year including THE BOYS, COBRA KAI, THE GOOD DOCTOR, OUTLANDER, and PLATONIC. SPTS is part of the larger Sony Pictures Television (SPT) division. SPT is a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Group Corporation.
We are looking for an administrative assistant to support one of the two EVPs of Business Affairs for our US TV Studio, headquartered in Culver City, CA. This role may also provide occasional departmental administrative support, as needed. The assistant will be a key member of a fast-paced team that makes deals to develop, produce, and license content for the TV Studio.
Responsibilities:
• Provide expert organizational and administrative support to EVP/co-head of the department to ensure smooth flow of operation
• Project management of operational data/workflow system
• Manage phone calls, take accurate messages and update phone sheet
• Take notes on calls, as needed
• Heavy schedule/calendar management
• Coordinate all internal and external meetings and calls, reserve conference rooms
• Collect and prepare information/documents for all meetings and conferences
• Generate and submit monthly expense reports
• Manage and track executive approval flow
• Maintain and update internal and external contact database
• Manage travel arrangements
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in drafting letters, agreements, abstracts, and memorandum
• Coordinate with other departments within SPT to update active project assignments chart
• Onboard new BA employees and interns
• Printing, filing and organization of paperwork
• Keep track of necessary office supplies and order updates
• Assist visiting executives, as needed
• Coordinate and handle special projects
• Other projects/assignments as required
Requirements:
Skills & Competencies
• Strong Computer skills: MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel required; Airtable, Tableau, Filemaker, Adobe, Keynote preferred
• Strong internet research skills using various search engines, databases, and social media platforms
• Excellent written (spelling, punctuation, grammar) and oral (professional and friendly demeanor) communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and follow through skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with attention to detail
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Ability to independently solve problems
• A self-starter with a team player attitude
• Take responsibility for and ownership of tasks
• At ease in a fast-paced, high energy, ever-changing work environment with shifting priorities
• Must demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with co-workers, executives, etc.
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years administrative experience
• Entertainment experience required
• Studio experience preferred
Education
• Education: B.A., B.S., or equivalent preferred
Salary/Benefits
$32.00
per hour
The anticipated base salary for this position is $32/hour to $40/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
