Job Description:
Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its New York office of Literary Development. This role primarily provides administrative support for the SVP of Literary Development and a small team of Creative Executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in book publishing, entertainment, social media, and pop culture, along with excellent reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support for the SVP and the team in the Literary Development office.
• Maintain databases, documents, and memos related to literary scouting.
• Perform general administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling, data entry, and preparing travel arrangements and expense reports.
• Assist in evaluating books, manuscripts, and other source materials for feature film development.
• Contribute to research projects on topics such as book sales, competitive tracking, and authors.
Opportunities:
