Director, Creative Development

This is a Full Time Job

Candidates must love games, game shows and competition-style programming. 3-5 years' experience in previous development job at a network or production company is preferred; Must have a strong interest in pop culture, culture events and emerging trends. Candidates must also have strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
include but are not limited to…
• Working with the Development team to originate and develop show concepts that maximize ratings that are consistent with the directives of the SVP, Development;
• Participating in the development process by actively contributing to show workshops and run-throughs;
• Staying informed and updating the SVP, Development about game shows in development and production in the US and abroad;
• Identifying cultural trends and developments (including social media and online games) that may lead to the origination of successful game concepts;
• Interacting with the production community, including third-party production companies and independent producers, to find the best concepts for the network;
• Working on current productions in preproduction, in studio and during the post review process in capacities as directed by the Head of Development; and,
• Other development and production duties as assigned by the SVP, Development.

Education
Qualifications:

Required Minimum: BA/BS Degree

Experience Qualifications:

Required Minimum: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years working in a network or production company development position with responsibilities focused on the development of format and/or game shows.

Preferred: Active production experience and detailed knowledge of the production process strongly preferred. Knowledge of production companies and producers in the game show field also preferred.
