This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 12th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for entry-level talent or recent graduates interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Sony Pictures Television Global Brand Marketing is a division within Sony Pictures Entertainment responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote feature film and Television content across the globe, ensuring a consistent brand image and driving audience engagement for their diverse portfolio of Films, TV shows and formats on all platforms, including traditional television, streaming services, and digital media.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Trainee that is ready to go above and beyond, learning in a studio work environment, to assist global brand marketing for Sony Pictures films (new releases and catalog). This position supports the creation, management & implementation of global marketing programs for various film labels. This role would collaborate on a day-to-day basis with Brand, Shopper Marketing, Commercial, Creative and New Media Distribution teams.
The Marketing Trainee will report into the Director, Marketing Strategic Partnerships and will have the following responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for SPE films across multi-platform partnerships in the HomeEnt/TV window
• Support the creation of marketing materials including presentations, merchandising assets, and marketing planning
• Collaborate with internal teams including brand marketing, new media, creative services, and digital marketing.
• Assist in administrative tasks such as organizing assets, placement tracking, and managing marketing approvals.
• Coordinate marketing materials and legal documents between key stakeholders, legal, and SPHE teams.
• Attend marketing brand meetings with functional teams (i.e., Media, PR, Research, Creative and Shopper Marketing), partner, and agency meetings to track minutes and follow-ups for all teams in attendance.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of product slides and marketing presentations (including but not limited to filmmaker, retail and internal PowerPoint presentations)
• Screen films, attend and contribute to team brainstorms
• Special ad hoc projects for the Brand Marketing team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree in a relevant field
• Passion for movies and television with a strong knowledge of the content distribution landscape
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Experience with social media platforms and digital tools
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Salary/Benefits
$22.00
per hour
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
