Sony Pictures Entertainment is a major studio responsible for blockbuster films such as Spider-Man, Jumanji and Ghostbusters, and legendary TV Shows such as Breaking Bad and Outlander. The role of Marketing Intern –will be placed within the regional marketing team of the Distribution division for Western Europe, responsible for the distribution of film and television content.
The Western Europe Distribution Marketing team work alongside sales and research to help promote and customize the series/features content being pitched to buyers across our territories, ensuring teams have the most relevant materials, and build activation plans directly with partners and retailers for key series and releases. This includes being Product experts, supporting with B2B marketing materials (pitching and communications), managing events and B2C post sales marketing.
As the Marketing Intern based in London, you will work with local teams in the following territories: UK, France, Iberia, Italy, Germany/ Switzerland/Austria and the Nordics & Benelux team markets. You will also collaborate closely with our LA based global team on a regular basis.
Over the course of the placement, you will be responsible for crucial administrative functions, and we will provide exposure and experience in Creative planning, B2B, Internal Communications and events, the key elements of the distribution of Television and Feature Film marketing.
During this internship you will gain experience of working across multiple teams and territories and develop marketing knowledge and skills in a fast-paced industry.
This role will be a 12 month fixed term contract starting in July 2024 and will be paid London living wage.

What you'll do:
• Assist team in building presentations for key internal and external meetings and pitches.
• Collation of information from territories for regional office and US office
• Day to day contact for asset enquiries from territories including promos, artwork, social media, decks etc across features and series.
• Assistance with coordinating special events and screenings.
• Work alongside team on ad hoc projects including brainstorm sessions, crafting email newsletters, planning meetings.
• Briefing and liaising with agencies for marketing initiatives including Presentation Decks, PR, Social-Media, and Creative Campaigns
• Tracking/sharing of competitor and internal best practices.
• Build and update internal tracking spreadsheets.
• Working with Research, Sales Planning and Territory teams on bespoke projects

• MS Office Suite required, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Photoshop, In design skills is desirable
