Job Description:
Sony Pictures Entertainment offers Emerging Talent Programs, including this full-time, on-site Spring Trainee position from January through May 30th, 2025. This paid position provides valuable real-world experience and educational opportunities in post-production and VFX support. The trainee will work closely with studio productions to help implement new technology solutions for the content production pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize and process requests from internal and external customers.
• Assist with file transcoding and deliver content using industry-standard technologies based on client specifications.
• Create and deliver screeners according to client instructions using Sony Pictures Entertainment technologies.
• Assist with Aspera account creation and file deliveries.
Required Experience & Skills:
• Ability to organize data from various sources and communicate professionally with VIP clients.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround environment.
• Ability to lift and deploy computer equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
• Experience in computer troubleshooting (hardware/software across Windows, Mac, Linux).
• Familiarity with transfer protocols (cifs, smb, sftp, aspera).
• Experience with transcoding/editing platforms.
• Knowledge of video/audio quality control.
• Understanding of storage platforms and backup procedures.
Salary Details:
