This is a Full Time Job
Sony Pictures Classics, a New York-based distributor of independent and foreign films, is seeking a Sales & Booking Coordinator to join the Sales team.
The key function of this position is responsibility for the life cycle of a film's screening, release and billing.
We are seeking an accomplished, motivated individual with a knowledge and love of independent and foreign cinema, and a curiosity about the independent film marketplace. The individual must be an extremely well-organized, independent worker who can take initiative and be willing to think outside the box.
The Sales Coordinator's responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
• Maintain accurate theatre information in booking and billing system
• Book and track press, festival and special event screenings
• Send out trade letters to exhibitors and setting up exhibitor screenings
• Input and maintain Airtable data
• Assistant to EVP, Sales
• Back up to Manager, Non-Theatrical Sales
Job requirements:
• Demonstrated passion for independent and foreign cinema and the independent film marketplace
• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability & ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Foreign Language ability a plus
• BA preferred
• 1 - 2 years related experience
The anticipated base salary for this position is $25 to 26. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
