Majority of the SFA's responsibilities will be project-based, supporting and reporting directly into the DCS Finance Director. The ideal candidate should have a strong financial background and ability to learn complex, technical nuances of global content distribution operation. This role is hands on and allows for cross-functional collaboration across many SPE divisions.
Responsibilities:

• Distill complex, technical concepts and ''big data'' into executive-friendly summaries and visualizations to articulate the financial story behind management decision-making.
• Serve as the in-house ''Super User'' for DCS's newly implemented SmartReporting data metrics & analysis tool. Provide reconciliations and analyses to both refine existing tool functionality and to recommend enhancements.
• Partner with DCS Operations to leverage SmartReporting tool kits to provide financial transparency and analytics in support of monthly executive dashboarding and operational updates.
• Provide key forecast and planning guidance to Distribution and Product Owner Finance divisions across SPE and propose continuous budget/forecast process improvement opportunities.
• Own DCS's overhead mid-range planning (MRP), annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, preparing headcount and opex projections for a 200 FTE organization.
• Actively support the global DCS organization with financial coding guidance, purchase order reviews and approvals, along with supporting participant audits, and ad hoc inquiries.
Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of the media and entertainment industry, primarily post-production, and content distribution lines of businesses.
• Proven ability to think through complex issues in a constructive manner to recommend and effect appropriate actions and solutions.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, capable of building DCF, NPV, ROI and complex ad hoc models.
• Strong organizational, project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines.
• Driven and self-motivated with high standards and excellent work ethic.
• Resourceful self-starter with the ability to problem solve with minimal executive guidance.
• Meticulous attention to detail and takes pride in work product.
• Exhibit strong understanding of finance and working knowledge of accounting concepts (GAAP/IFRS standards and compliance matters).
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills to liaise effectively and professionally within the organization and with external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to perform well both individually and as a team.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in analytical roles, preferably Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Business Planning and/or Consulting.
• Entertainment industry experience preferred; Big 4/Consulting experience a plus.
• Data visualization, data analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel and Macro experience.
• B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business, Mathematics or Economics preferred.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $71,000 to $94,1000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
