As the Sales Director of Sourcing Journal, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve maximum revenue growth through cross-platform sales initiatives. You will lead conversations with business executives and key marketing decisions makers across textile, manufacturing, global supply chain, and logistic industries and foster new business opportunities in a rapidly evolving landscape. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge and the ability to tailor client solutions leveraging the Fairchild Media Group portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities:
• Independently develop a robust pipeline of advertising prospects across brand and agency media buyers alike, and increase high-value proposal volume
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, prospects, and partners in the fashion, retail, and sourcing industries.
• Build prospects and foster client relationships through in-person meetings, phone, email, and social media outreach, and via participation in professional networking events and programs
• Analyze market demands and customer needs to help shape Sourcing Journal’s sales and marketing strategies
• Ignite new thinking, new ideas, and new approaches across the full FMC portfolio to capture attention in your territory and drive market share
• Work strategically with sales planning and integrated marketing teams to craft proposals that meet and exceed client KPIs and objectives, growing your pipeline of new business in the process
• Effectively deliver and manage client expectations to ensure successful campaign execution and help set the stage for future growth via program renewal and more
• Manage a robust Salesforce pipeline; accurately forecast new business and revenue path from pitch to close
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market shifts
Requirements:
• 5 years of media sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of industry and sector trends, and media best practices
• Record of ad sales performance, meeting/exceeding goals in digitally led, multiplatform selling environments
• Ability to present and communicate ideas and concepts effectively
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, both internal and external facing
• Ability to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with customers, external partners, and internal teams to deliver on business objectives
• Experience in media pricing, planning, packaging, and related performance metrics
• Vertical knowledge of assets in Fairchild Media portfolio: digital, social media, video, audio, print, branded content, events (live and virtual)
• Demonstrated record of client-solutions-oriented idea generation in media space
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
Typical wage range: $115K-$125K Commission.
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, effective for this role July 1, 2023, the company will pay 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family.
