This is a Full Time Job
The Account Manager services individual client accounts from start to finish on all aspects of the client's participation. They will focus on quality customer service, project managing the fulfillment of purchased assets, upselling the client on additional promotional assets, working alongside a partnering Sales Rep, and serving as a client's primary point of contact at SXSW. This role is charged with providing the best possible client experience to increase retention rates and individual client spending year over year and streamlining and improving efficiencies with internal communication, leading to higher revenue for the Sales Group and SXSW.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as a primary contact for individual clients in assigned categories
• Project manage the fulfillment of clients' purchased assets such as exhibition booths, venue activations, Partner Programming sessions, happy hours, digital products and social media campaigns, registrations, housing, special events, lounges, etc. (not an exhaustive list)
• Upsell and cross-sell clients on additional opportunities where possible to enhance client presence and to supplement legacy assets
• Lead monthly client communications during the fulfillment phase to ensure customer success.
• Liaise with Sales Group colleagues and all SXSW departments to facilitate fulfillment of assets while remaining the primary point of contact for the client
• Meet regularly with SXSW stakeholders to discuss client projects and find new ways to improve the client experience
• Maintain accurate client records and keeping track of client updates throughout the SXSW season
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications include:
• Knowledge of SXSW
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively balance multiple client projects and client tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
• A minimum of two years experience with a CRM application.
Preferred Skills
• A minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in an account manager, sales, or client-facing role
• Previous experience working with various clientele (different industry verticals, levels of seniority, startup, enterprise, etc.)
• Ability to upsell and cross-sell effectively
• Ability to manage a sales cycle and meet deadlines
• Previous experience with Airtable, Hubspot, and Filemaker is a plus
Work Location & Schedule
The position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Team members are expected to be in the office at least three days per week and may work remotely the other two days. They must be available to work additional hours from January through March, including evenings and weekends.
