About The Role:
Salary: - Pay: $62,000 - $65,000 yearly base salary to start, depending on experience and if you can bring clients to the agency.
You will be working onsite with a small but dynamic team in a fast-paced environment that provides exciting opportunities and experiences and has best-in-class clients.
A successful candidate will be an excellent writer and a self-starter with 4-6 years of experience creating and executing press campaigns. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, create and implement strategy, devise interesting pitch angles and make quick informed decisions as necessary for the nature of live/alternative programming, as well as scripted series. The ideal candidate should be curious, creative and have the ability to take risks and demonstrate big-picture thinking. The workload varies, but the publicist will juggle multiple shows at once as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and build media lists including sourcing contacts and identifying opportunities for coverage
• Service current agency clients
• Sign and bring in New Business to the agency
• Foster and support relationships with media and partners
• Brainstorm and develop pitch angles
• Draft pitch emails, press releases, media alerts, press blasts, and other written communication
• Populate and update event, activity, and calendar listings
• Research and identify co-promotional partners and ideate opportunities for alignment
• Support the team on partner programs including trafficking assets, and following up on agreed-upon support
• Source, track, and maintain the database of press and partner contacts
• Event and screening support includes inviting, tracking RSVPs, and confirming attendance
• On-site screening and event coordination, as needed
• Track and report social and website campaign metrics, press coverage, and other campaign milestones
• Compile client recaps
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns
• Stay current with trends, audience interests, news, and other relevant information
SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in public relations working with talent with an understanding of the entertainment landscape, trends, and media outlets.
• Must be able to service and sign clients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications at an accredited college/university
