Festival Associate Manager, Community Outreach
Location: Park City, Utah
Position Overview:
The Festival Associate Manager, Community Outreach will support Sundance Institute's Utah community engagement efforts by organizing outreach programs and providing access to film screenings during the Sundance Film Festival. Reporting to the Director of Community Programs, the role includes maintaining databases, conducting outreach, and managing community screening events. This is a temporary full-time role from November 6, 2024, through February 21, 2025, requiring extended hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain Utah-based community contact databases (Airtable).
• Organize approximately six 30-minute sessions on Festival program highlights for community organizations.
• Provide tickets to Utah-based nonprofit organizations, focusing on Salt Lake County and Summit County.
• Serve as the main contact for community outreach, responding to inquiries and managing the outreach email inbox.
• Collaborate with the Public Programming team to select films for community consideration.
• Attend free community screenings, providing pre-screening introductions to recognize sponsors.
• Collect data for grant reporting, including attendance, demographics, and photographs.
• Conduct a comprehensive wrap-report including a program summary, statistical data, and recommendations.
• Update department procedure documents and create timeline estimates for the following year.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience in community outreach, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Knowledge of CRM databases like Airtable and proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
