Job Title: Festival Coordinator, Press Information

Position Summary:
The Festival Coordinator, Press Information will be responsible for generating news coverage and reinforcing the Sundance Institute brand through detailed data reporting. This role supports the Press Office during the Sundance Film Festival by compiling media coverage, monitoring data, and creating reports on artists and projects. The role also handles logistics for the Press Office during the festival.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage media lists, lead media monitoring and reporting
• Aggregate press coverage and organize into detailed reports
• Monitor press coverage and create daily reports for the team
• Audit coverage for accuracy and flag incorrect reports
• Monitor trade reviews, acquisitions, and representation announcements
• Gather and track data on artists, projects, and press demographics
• Calculate and report key festival statistics
• Create a comprehensive Sundance Film Festival press coverage report and screening reports
• Assist with screenings and events
• Provide support in vetting journalists for accreditation
• Perform general administrative support as needed
• Write a comprehensive wrap report after the festival
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 2 years of experience in media relations, communications, data analysis, or related field
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to audit data for accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience with primary research methodologies and basic statistical analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), and knowledge of databases
• Familiarity with media tracking platforms like Cision or MuckRack (preferred)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
Work Environment & Schedule:
• Full-time, temporary position from November 6, 2024, through February 28, 2025
• Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, required during the festival period
• Hybrid work environment, based near Park City, UT
Compensation & Benefits:
• Hourly pay of $20.32
