We are seeking an exceptionally organized and highly creative Director's Assistant to support a busy commercial director who also works on personal projects and a growing film slate. This role requires a balance of administrative efficiency and artistic sensibility-someone who can manage calendars and logistics while also contributing to creative development.
The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, proactive, and resourceful, with a keen eye for visual storytelling. Experience with InDesign, Google Suite, and creative software is strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in both the commercial and film industries while working closely with an established director.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Organizational Support
• Manage the director's calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements, ensuring smooth day-to-day scheduling.
• Serve as the point of contact for coordinating with producers, agencies, and personal contacts.
• Oversee email correspondence, follow-ups, and reminders.
• Handle occasional personal errands and tasks as needed.
• Organize digital files, production materials, and creative assets.
Creative & Production Support
• Assist in the creation of pitch decks, treatments, and visual references for commercial and film projects.
• Conduct research on creative references, film aesthetics, and industry trends to support pitches.
• Help refine presentations and documents using InDesign, Google Slides, and other design tools.
• Provide on-set support during shoots as needed.
Tech & General Assistance
• Ensure the director's devices, software, and digital tools are functioning smoothly
• Maintain and update project tracking documents, including film slate materials.
• Assist in setting up virtual meetings, screenings, and document sharing.
Key Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Tech-savvy and proficient in Google Suite, InDesign, Keynote, and presentation tools.
• Creative thinker with a strong eye for visuals, design, and storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Passion for commercials, film, and visual storytelling.
• Previous experience in film production, advertising, or a related creative industry is a plus.
