The Promotions and Acceso Total Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage that enhances the visual appeal and messaging of promotional and show content. This role involves working closely with the promotions, marketing team and the Acceso Total team to develop engaging visuals for commercials, promotional spots, station branding, show segments, stories and in-show content. The ideal candidate has a creative eye, technical expertise in camera operation, and a solid understanding of lighting, framing, and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Camera Operation: Operate cameras to capture high-quality footage for various promotional projects, ensuring all shots are visually engaging and aligned with the project’s objectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with producers, directors, and other creative team members to understand project goals, discuss visual concepts, and execute scenes according to the creative brief.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, lenses, tripods, and other gear to ensure it is always in optimal condition for shoots.
• Lighting and Framing: Set up and adjust lighting, angles, and camera settings to enhance the quality of footage and ensure consistency with brand standards.
• Location Scouting: Assist in scouting and evaluating shoot locations to identify optimal shooting angles, lighting conditions, and logistical considerations.
• Editing and Post-Production Assistance: Capture high-quality footage with minimal need for re-shoots and collaborate with editors to ensure the footage aligns with post-production requirements.
• Time Management: Manage schedules and shoot timelines effectively, ensuring all content is captured within the designated timeframe.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in camera operating, with a focus on promotion, marketing, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in camera operation and knowledge of different camera systems and equipment.
• Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with basic field camera operation (DV, DSLR), Premier, iNews, Dalet, Stream Yard and content management systems.
• Must be willing to travel, often with short notice.
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement between the Company and the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians Union (NABET). Successful candidate will be required to join the NABET Union if not already a member and remain a member in good standing of that union
