Position Overview
The Director of Partnerships will lead strategic partnership development and management for Telemundo's FIFA World Cup project, focusing on creating innovative brand collaborations that drive awareness and business growth. This role will be instrumental in identifying, securing, and managing high-value partnerships with external brands.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive partnership strategy and execution for Telemundo's FIFA World Cup coverage, identifying and pursuing strategic brand collaboration opportunities
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners across various industries, with a focus on brands that align with soccer and Hispanic market demographics
• Structure and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including media integration, content creation, and promotional rights
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless partnership activation and delivery of partnership commitments
• Create compelling partnership proposals and presentations, incorporating market insights and viewer data
• Oversee partnership budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities for expansion
• Monitor partnership performance and develop reporting mechanisms to track ROI and KPIs
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 5 years of experience in partnership development, preferably in sports media or entertainment
• Proven track record of securing and managing partnerships
• Strong understanding of the sports media landscape, particularly in soccer and Hispanic markets
• Experience in negotiating complex media and sponsorship deals
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Superior presentation and communication skills in English and Spanish
• Deep understanding of brand integration and activation in broadcast media
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience with major sporting events, particularly FIFA World Cup or similar global sports properties
• Previous work experience in Hispanic media or marketing
• Established network of brand and agency contacts
• Experience with digital and social media partnership integration
